Welcome to White Conch Dharma Center.

Finding time for quiet introspection can be difficult given the ever increasing pace of the world. Recognizing the human need for contemplation and meditation, a group of determined, altruistic minded individuals founded White Conch in 2001 and our community quickly grew. Under the auspices of Venerable Domo Geshe Rinpoche, White Conch Dharma Center is now an international Mahayana Buddhist organization located in pastoral Central Wisconsin. White Conch has centers across the continental United States and in cities throughout Germany. Rinpoche maintains a travel schedule giving transformational teachings rooted in Tibetan Buddhist tradition and tailored for the modern Western mind and lifestyle. Rinpoche actively promotes interfaith dialogue and White Conch community members come from a variety of spiritual backgrounds. In addition, White Conch is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP15706) for Rinpoche’s specialized Hospice training program as well as other programs offering nursing contact hours.

“The heart of Buddhism is meditation, and the heart of meditation is retreat.”
– Domo Geshe Rinpoche

The White Conch is one of the eight auspicious symbols of Tibetan Buddhism, and represents the enlightened speech of the Buddhas. When it is blown, it can be heard clearly at a distance; yet if you are standing right beside it, the sound will not hurt your ears. Similarly, when an enlightened being teaches the path to freedom, it touches more than just those who are present..
