White Conch Communities
White Conch communities are comprised of dedicated meditators who regularly gather for group meditations and study sessions in addition to hosting Domo Geshe Rinpoche teaching visits. Some communities also host meditations and other events on our conference lines throughout the year. Lotus Lake Buddhist Center
The White Conch retreat facility, Lotus Lake Buddhist Center, hosts group meditation retreats throughout the year on a variety of topics and meditation practices. Lotus Lake is Rinpoche’s place of residence as well as Rinpoche’s main teaching seat. Open year round, people from all faiths and spiritual backgrounds will find a peaceful environment for private retreat or to escape a hectic schedule.
White Conch has communities (Sangha) in the Milwaukee, Madison, Baraboo, and Neillsville, Wisconsin. Domo Geshe Rinpoche teaches in Milwaukee every Spring and in Madison and Baraboo in the Fall. Community activities include meditation groups, study groups, movie nights, Dharma teachings, and retreats. In addition, each location hosts regular group meditations.
Joyful Path Healing Center
Located in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin (west of Madison). Joyful Path is a monastery founded by White Conch Monastics and has a Dharma Hall where Rinpoche teaches frequently throughout the year. They offer a variety of programs on loving kindness, Practical Buddhist Wisdom, Foundations of Yogic Healing, Conscious End of Life training, Non-Violent Communication, weekly book club and workshops on aromatherapy. www.joyfulpath.org
The Madison sangha meets at Joyful Path for Green Wisdom Light meditation.
Our Illinois Sangha is located in the Bloomington-Normal area. They lead weekly meditations on conference call. .
Our New Mexico Sangha resides in the northern part of the state. With groups in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, Rinpoche visits each fall and gives evening teachings, weekend seminars, and meditation retreats. They host a weekly meditation group.
The Hawaii Sangha, located in Honolulu.
The Oregon/Washington Sangha serves the Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon areas. This group meets weekly on Tuesday afternoons to study Buddhist philosophy and practice.
