Evening Talk for Nurses and Hospice Volunteers
2015-05-05, Schlüchtern (Calm Center) Der ruhende Pol
Wie entwickelt sich der Hospizarbeiter zu einem ‘ruhenden Pol’, der anderen beeinflusst, in der Hektik zur Ruhe zu kommen?
How does the hospice worker develop into a "calm pole" that influences others to calm down in the hectic pace?
How can we stay present and caring in turbulent, stressful times, at work or in our private lives? What roles do impatience and patience play in our relationships and interactions? From a Buddhist perspective, Rinpoche shows us ways to be balanced in our daily lives, when caring for others and in the end of life care. It we are inwardly calm, those around us will benefit.
Rinpoche discusses how we create spiritual nutrition for our inner energy being by our interactions with others – and the energy of this world. Positivity can have a domino effect on the consciousness of others. When we try to force others to do things we take away their will power and creativity. Instead we can use our creativity to learn to skillfully work with others and situations.
Stress can be poor nutrition. It also affects our sensitive inner being and the others around us. Expectations can lead to stress and fighting the energy of the world. We can offer positive nutrition to others by being in harmony with the situation, and becoming more skillful. We appreciate and respect our creativity and the emerging creativity of others. A feeling of well being is the result of good nutrition.
