11-6-2007 A Fresh View of Peacemanking
Activists and peacemakers are often suffering. Activists often perceive that the motives of others are not as altruistic as their own, and many organizations fail because the workers cannot get along. Altruism is of two major kinds. 1. That altruism focused specifically on a subgroup of individuals. These activists may not care about other groups or individuals. You have triggers that arouse your anger. 2. If you are careful, you may enter into a holy dynamic that has to do with issues that plague all living beings. There is a problem in the method in which individual living beings enter into peacemaking. You are not large enough on the inside to hold all the energy that needs to be straightened to resolve a large issue. You do what is possible to do. An activist should concentrate on working carefully with smaller amounts of energy/conflict. If you take on too much, you will get angry and frustrated. Don’t be afraid to do something.
