Four Sections of King of Prayers
Rinpoche answers questions about various levels of beings including Buddhas, Buddha emanated bodhisattvas, and learner bodhisattas. She reads more from the Vimalakirti sutra, and we do a recitation of the king of prayers. She gives an overview of the four sections of the King of Prayers.
7-29-2025 day 4
Hidden Realities
Rinpoche begins with some of her ideas about Big Bang as fermentation and was it an accident. She then reads from the vimalakirti sutra and offers commentary. She discusses a pure mind and how mental development is critical to well being. She talks about individual vs elemental animals. She discusses cutting off feelings, thought and mental processes. Thinking deeper, we can pick up wisdom. What is the bodhisattva purification of the buddha field? She then shifts away from the sutra commentary and discusses hidden realities such as archeology and geology. When we think about things with no real answers, it stretches the mind. We concentrate by making it big. She ends with a discussion of hidden realities within spiritual development.
7-30-2025 day 5
Bodhisattva Buddha Field
Rinpoche began with world news of earthquake and tsunami coming from Russia. More problems are coming. How do we simplify and reduce our neediness? She then answers questions from BC about contaminated experiences before enlightenment. She then reads and gives commentary from Vimalakirti chapter 1 page 16 on what is a Buddha’s field.
Star Trek Ideals
Rinpoche begins with a discussion of what influence did Star Trek have on me? It was ok to have idealism. Pure idealism drives our motivation and activities. 7-31-2025 day 6
Levels of Development
Rinpoche begins with a discussion of the spectrum of being and levels of development. She then discusses how we are unique individuals with unique levels of development. We should hold no opinion about the level of development for those we consider to be inferior. Respect and honor those superior. Allow people to achieve their own development by their own efforts as we have done with self determination and celebrate their autonomy. She discusses our need to control others and equanimity with life – is what is. She advises us to hold less opinions about self and others.
8-1-2025 day 7
Big Bang Stretching of Mind
Rinpoche discusses the Big Bang. Where did that energy come from? She hypotheses perhaps from Dark Matter as a disturbance in the force. She discusses correct grounding so the mind can stretch. She then reads Vimalakirti sutra p 96 epilogue and offers commentary including nighttime meditation, and what is valuable in life.
Liberation of inconceivable
Rinpoche reads a section of Vimalakirti sutra Ch 6 inconceivable reconciliation and has us do a visualization of a mountain in a mustard seed. Other amazing visualizations. Ch 7 The Goddess on how we regard the world like an illusion, and Inexpressible Liberation. We recited prayers in this open state.
8-2-25 day 8
Development of Consciousness
Rinpoche begins with how archeological timelines of how old the world is and how long humans have been on this earth are way wrong. She discusses this realm and other realms we have lived in. We can think in abstract ways now. A mentor is critical for our development of consciousness. She discusses what is altruism and what is not. We practice altruism in prayer and in meditation like 4 great wishes. We are free to be as altruistic as possible on our mediation cushion. She then reads from Vimalakirti sutra ch 3 disciples’ reluctance to visit Vimalakirti. The entirety of dharma is the correction of views. Intelligent people don’t like to be corrected – cling to status. Open so you can learn and be corrected by dharma as personal advice. Complaining makes us sick. We need to shift out of that mood. Use songs to shift our mood out of it. Not dwell in negative conditioning that produces negative thoughts. She ends with a discussion about how the king of prayers expands us and we grow into abstract views. We develop clarity of being to resonate with deity like a bell.
