Description
A hero is one who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. On the Buddhist path, the heroic journey begins with the great wish to become enlightened in order to benefit all living beings. To accomplish that transformation, the spiritual hero trains in the practice of the six transcendent perfections – generosity, ethics, patience, enthusiasm, meditation and wisdom. Of these six qualities, wisdom is most essential. Without wisdom, the practice of the other perfections will not lead to the desired goal of enlightenment. What is this wisdom? By what methods is wisdom developed? How can wisdom help us heal negative states of mind and realize our highest spiritual potential? Join Domo Geshe Rinpoche as she guides us in an exploration of the wisdom aspect of the six perfections. Rinpoche will give the mantra practice of Manjushri, Buddha of Wisdom.
