SUMMARY:Winter Retreat Session 1: Finding Safety through Mother Green Tara
DESCRIPTION:Formal bestowal of Green Tara empowerment (Buddha of Compassionate Activity)  \n Among the many aspects of Green Tara\, as Mother\, she offers feelings of safety\, acceptance and love. Green Tara heals issues of loneliness\, and disconnectedness that might arise from a lack of close family ties\, dealing with an unskillful mother or suffering from a mother who has passed away.  We can become naturally more gentle\, kind and capable\, while relating to others and become a better partner\, parent\, co-worker or friend.  This session includes a full moon ceremony with permission to study and perform a Lama Chopa tsok . \n  \nGoing on Retreat at Lotus Lake Buddhist Center \nDaily dharma teachings are held in the spacious dharma hall but there are often informal spontaneous sharings by Rinpoche or senior students over breakfast or lunch. Limited in person option as well. \nOne week Meditation Retreat \nThis highest yoga tantra meditation practice will help your transformation to the awakened state through tantra – the method of wordless learning.The Anuttarayoga (highest) Tantra practice of Vajrayogini is a transformative agent for change. She embodies the fully enlightened female: a fiery\, energetic Buddha level being\, the Great Dakini who leads the practitioner to enlightenment This is an advanced meditation practice retreat requiring secluded time for the participants. Concentrated advice will be given on this practice\, therefore those who are new to Vajrayogini practice are welcome but must have prior experience with Tantric meditation. Ideally\, one will have  previously received empowerment from Domo Geshe Rinpoche. Given during this retreat session will also be instruction and permission for the practice of Rainbow Light Purification to help your inner energies to transform more easily. \nUSA and Canadian participants register here. \nIn Person Option: \n\n\n\n\nFor the spring retreats\, we are cautiously offering an in person option that is available for those people who have had the COVID-19 vaccine series and are in their 90 day antibody protection period. \n \nPer CDC guidelines\, peak protection begins two weeks after the last shot\, assuming one had a good response to the vaccine e.g. fatigue\, muscles aches\, joint pain. If there is any question of antibody protection (a vaccine response may be questionable if you do not get symptoms other than a sore arm after the vaccine)\, your primary doctor can order you an antibody test to confirm that the vaccine worked.\n \nRinpoche recently completed her vaccine series so she is in the peak 90 day protection window as well. This gives us a kind of “double protection” for the spring retreats.\n \nWe may also need to wear masks in public areas and will follow spacing guidelines.\n\n\n\n\n    We will need to limit the number of in-person attendees based on single room occupancy.\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease let me know if you have any questions or concerns.\n\n If you wish to sign up for in-person retreat\, Gyalmo will first need to talk with you briefly to make sure we are set with the criteria for in-person attendance. \n \nThere is an additional room and board fee for in-person retreat.
