It is easy to experience distress, anger, fear, helplessness, or even apathy in reaction to the seemingly overwhelming conflict and suffering in the world. What is your current reaction to this daily news? Have you ever prayed for peace? Whether you currently pray or not, you are invited to gain a new and unique perspective on prayer, to explore what prayer really is and why and how it works. Rinpoche will teach about the power of prayer and how to pray effectively. Together, we will then accomplish powerful prayers for world peace! Prayers from many different traditions, including Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Native American and African traditions, will be recited and offered.

The teachings and meditation practice of Buddha Shakyamuni encourage a strong healing process.
In order to grow spiritually and make the world a better place we first need to have a new and improved relationship with our self. Often this is hindered by strong self criticism and a lack of self confidence. The amazing and healing meditation of Buddha Shakyamuni cleanses and strengthens our spirit.

GENERATING KINDNESS TOWARD THE DYING PATIENT’S FAMILY
When a person dies the hospice helper often encounters a family environment filled with stress, fear and unresolved issues. Rinpoche discusses how in these situations loving kindness can be a healing balm for all concerned.

Stiff shoulders, tight hips, poor posture, sore muscles and a general feeling of tightness and anxiety can make our body ache and our mind suffers with poor me thinking. Relaxation helps with symptom relief but how can we treat the underlying core issue? What is the cure for this dilemma? There can be a connection between an inflexible, stiff body and a solidified, inflexible mind.

At the beginning of this retreat Rinpoche will bestow the empowerment into the tantric meditation practice of Medicine Buddha.
This practice gradually develops healing capacity within the practitioner that can be used for healing of self and others. We can end our suffering if we recognize it is largely self-created.
This retreat session also will give instruction and permission for the powerful practice of Rainbow Light Purification to help your energy and emerging wisdom mind to integrate more easily.
