Summer Retreat 2010 The Hermitage, Wisconsin

37 Practices of a Bodhisattva

with Green Light empowerment

July 31st-August 15th, 2010

Domo Geshe Rinpoche, a reincarnate lama of the Geluk Tibetan tradition will again teach for the White Conch Summer Retreat, located at the Hermitage near Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

Module 1: July 31st, 4PM - August 7th

Module 2: August 8th, 2PM - August 15th

Bodhisattvas, the great spiritual heroes who have vowed to rescue all living beings from suffering, undertake rigorous training across numerous lifetimes in increasingly higher and higher levels of compassion and skillful actions. Rinpoche will give commentary on Thokme Zangpo’s text, “The Thirty Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva.” This is an important Buddhist lojong (or mind training) text, intended to train the mind in increasingly skillful methods of arising and maintaining compassion and equanimity, even in the face of difficulties.

Attend one or both sessions. The Green Wisdom Light meditation will be bestowed each session. This special meditation practice is tailored to the western mind and was created to emphasize transformative compassion as the basis for attaining enlightenment. Commentary will also be given on Lama Chopa sadhana each session.

Retreat allows you to leave behind your daily concerns and focus on your own inner healing and spiritual development. There will be plenty of time for meditation and spiritual sharing.

Join with like-minded individuals who are committed to becoming capable of benefiting living beings.
