Domo Geshe Rinpoche, a reincarnate lama of the Geluk Tibetan tradition will again teach at the White Conch annual winter retreat.

 

During this year’s week long teaching and meditation retreat, Rinpoche will give commentary on Thokme Zangpo’s text, “The Thirty Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva.” Bodhisattvas, the great spiritual heroes who have vowed to rescue all living beings from suffering, undertake rigorous training across numerous lifetimes in increasingly higher and higher levels of compassion and skillful actions. This is an important Buddhist lojong (or mind training) text, intended to train the mind in increasingly skillful methods of arising and maintaining compassion and equanimity, even in the face of difficulties.

 

 

Retreat allows you to leave behind your daily concerns and focus on your own inner healing and spiritual development. Join with like-minded individuals who are committed to becoming capable of benefiting living beings.

 

 

 

Fees

Retreat costs will vary, depending on the type of room you select. Accommodations and meals are included in the retreat cost.

 

 

Accommodations

The Madonna Center is located on the west side of the city, overlooking the bosque, with stunning views of the mountains and city lights. There are paths available for walking to take in the blue skies and fresh air of New Mexico. It is located 20 minutes from the airport, and 45 minutes from beautiful Santa Fe.

 

You can choose to have a single or double room, with or without private bath. If you do not choose private bath, you will find excellent facilities just down the hall from your room.
